What I have for sale is a true barn find 1990 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 with the legendary LT5 Dual Overhead Cam 5.7L engine. This Corvette is quickly becoming a collectors item and we recently found this example that has been in storage for the last 10 years. We pulled it out of storage, cleaned it up, replaced the gas and it fired right up. It has some minor issues that need some TLC but the good condition and low milage make this one a great investment especially for a collector who will put in the extra time to make it truly mint.
For being from 1990 and having been in storage we were amazed to find that EVERYTHING on the car works, all the lights, flip around headlights, cruise, seat adjustments, even the engine power switch. Issues that were found: Serpentine Belt Tensioner is bad and will need rebuilt or replaced, Exhaust Leak – You can hear what sounds like an exhaust leak from under the car which would need to be looked into further. Paint Condition – Overall I’d say it’s fair, it does have some bubbling and spider cracking but does shine up nice and is presentable, INFL REST light is on – This is really common in these cars, a lot of times simply cleaning the ground and mount for the ABS sensors fixes this. Tires – The tires are shot from years of storage and have flat spots and dry rot. They do hold air and it can be driven on them, but I wouldn’t go far. They will need replaced. Air Conditioning Doesn’t’ work because it’s in need of a charge.
