Up for auction we have a true real deal 70s Street Freak Day2 style time capsule.I just pulled this car out of a long term storage where it had been sitting since 1988. The original owner and builder of the car went to prison for narcotics charges and never came back. The parents recently had a estate sale of property and all contents and look what I found !.The original owner must of known that he was going away for a good amount of time the whole car was covered in a cosmoline type wax and covered with multiple covers and blankets even the tires were coated and show zero signs of cracking.The car is a 1977 Camaro type LT with what shows to be 36k if you have owned one of these cars before the the way the doors open and close fit finish and wear n tear the time frame between when it was built and put away it is Beleavable mileage.It has a 78 date code L82 350 bolt main with a Weiand intake, carb spacer, Holley 650,Moroso aircleaner, fan spacer, Flexalite fan, Accel wires Accel plugs.Th350 tranny Hurst shifter and what appears to be a shift kit.It has either Appliance or Hooker headers with Thrush collector inserts and Thrush side pipes I also found the Thrush heat shields for the side pipes in the garage.It has a 10 bolt posi with aftermarket springs front and rear with bags in the rear air shocks aftermarket sway bars front and rear Lakewood traction bars and subframe connectors.The exterior of the car has a Baldwin-Motion Performance L88 hood and front valance chin spoiler with a 73 grill it has 4 Trans Am flares so two setts of fronts flipped and two setts or rears flipped, Auto-Plas louvers Chrome mirrors staggered Cragars with knock off caps and BFG Radial T/A’s.The interior is exactly as found and in excellent condition besides the front seat material seprations the dash is crack free the car has a factory tach. New red Acc carpet. Grant wood wheel Stewart Warner gauges Two alarms one hood lock. It has Pioneer Ts-6930 Speakers and a aftermarket power antenna.Still has its original spare jack and spare tire filler.The lettering on the wing is hand painted and turned gold leaf.I put a brand new fuel tank and sender unit brand new fuel pump rebuilt the carb cleaned the original Accel plugs and changed all fluids and the car runs excellent aside from having 30 plus year old tires its ready to be driven.The car is rot free aside from a small amount of bubbling on the drivers side lower fender underneath is as clean as the exterior.It doesn’t get any more period correct than this down to the wheel and tire combo. This is what people try to duplicate now with repop parts this is the real deal a true time capsule.The original owners parents found some cool old pictures of the car and sent them to me the car was also featured in a Street Freaks addition of Hot Rod Magazine in the mid 80s they said if they find the magazines or any other pictures they will send them to me.This was a exspensive build for the time and to be a fairly new car probably 3-5 years old when built !You would be hard pressed to find a cleaner meaner period correct 2nd gen Camaro aside front that these 73-77 fat bumper cars are becoming extremely scarce and this being the last year ads onto the cool factor.The car is located in Assonet Massachusetts 02702.Feel free to give me a call with any questions.
