Chevy Blazer K5 Chalet # 1017
Been sitting since 2002. All the travel supplies have been left in place. We did this a little different we did a tune up first and took all the barn dirt out for a ride as seen in the video. Still has Sears tires. We did plugs, wires, air filter, fuel filter, oil change, heater hoses and a few other minor things. Didn’t take long and it was running. To our amazement it runs excellent and drives just the same. The tires were not out of round but will need replaced due to weather cracking. Very tight transmission, suspension and steering. No funny noises or rattling. Great acceleration. Brakes seem to work fine but I would do further inspection just to make it road worthy. Has AC but pump is not plugged in so I’m assuming it needs replaced. Fan Switch is not working. Seats and interior in front are in good condition. The dash does have a crack right in the center and has had a cover on it I’m assuming for awhile now. We removed it for photos. All of the gauges work except for temp and fuel gauge. We used a digital heat gauge and it stays right at 175 degrees. Overhead liner is in decent shape as well. Rear camper area seems 100% complete from the refrigerator, to the hot water heater, sink, stove, Inverter, closets, partition sheet, table with leg, folding couches, lights, etc. There is still propane in the holding tank so yes we tested the stove and burners work just fine (see photo). Included also is the original summer grill guard and the winter grill guard. Also in the top shelf was a vintage AC DELCO rain jacket and pants that appear to have been unused. There is also 2 vintage 1980 Honda open face riding helmets with Honda carrying bags. Also a make shift first aid kit with vintage items as well. Road maps, Las Vegas “Circus Circus” brochure, Hand written directional travel journals and what appears to be one of the first printable route calculators “infomile 2”. Everything appears to be intact just the way it was left but will all need a thorough once over. Rear couches are cracked but do operate and open as intended. Pop-up top is not cracked. There appear to have been some leaks at the bolt points over time or they have been preventative I can’t say. The front 2 overhead windows had drips but have since been sealed. The pop up top canvas and screen area I would say are average. Couple small holes that have been patched over time but nothing pressing at the moment that would keep you from enjoying it. Rear door outer handle is broke but still opens and closes. There is rust as you can see in the pics. Also the drivers floor pan is rusty. Both battery trays are rusted out and the area of the inner fender just below them rusted out as well due to battery acid drip. No frame rust. All in all this is a very solid Chalet that wouldn’t take much to start camping soon, or, redo it to your liking. 10 day auction. 5 feedback or less will be automatically cancelled.
