Cash on pick up or wire transfer. I can assist buyer with holding the car for a week until the arrangements are done for transportation, but car must be paid for first. 1970 Pontiac GTO 242 car . In preserved and what seems unrestored condition. The car been sitting. Complete car that needs to be preserved And maintained because you just don’t see cars like this anymore.
I don’t know much about GTO’s but here’s what I see.
1. 242 vin
2. 400 engine. I believe it’s the original motor, but I cannot confirm, It appears to have the original air cleaner as well with quadrajet carb. I will post the numbers on the intake soon. Intake # 9799068 carb # 7040564 Vp 0200
Engine head # 0463270 2xz
3. Positraction rear end. Confirmed with posi tag
4. Car does have tilt, but I don’t know if it’s factory
5. Zoom in on the blue license plate sticker
6. I don’t see the typical rust around the rear windshield.
7. Appears to be a solid California car.blue plate
8. Car sat for a long time. I just don’t have the time to get to this car.
9. The car drives. I drive it on weekends, but I would recommend a check on the brakes and the tilt steering column because those three little screws that become loose with time appear loose.
10. 400 Pontiac engine and 400 Pontiac transmission appears to be original but I am not sure if these are number matching. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are. Numbers listed above
11. Endura nose appears in mint condition there are no chunks missing or piece is broken off. Never seen one like this before.
12. Appears to be original paint and color.
13. Windshield and all glass in decent for age condition.
14. Doors close with no rattles.
15. The jack is in the trunk
