The Corinthian White (M) exterior is in fantastic condition. As one can see in the photos the finish has dazzling gloss, deep shine, and smooth finish. The chrome wire wheels are in excellent condition with a nice finish and no curb rash. The whitewall tires are sized 215/70R15 and are almost brand new with a date code from last year and have been used minimally. Please note that the tires have the correct vintage and period correct look, but they are radials for a much better driving experience. The chrome looks spectacular and has a brilliant finish. The soft-top is in brand new condition with no stain, rips, holes, or frayed edges. The top itself operates and power top functions. The operation of the power top going up can be viewed in the video. We have included many photos of the underside to show any perspective buyer how it looks. There may be a small blemish or rock chip that was too small to show up in the photos, but nothing that is really noticeable from five feet away. There are no major imperfections that have been excluded from the photos.

This Thunderbird looks just as good in person as it does in the photos.Interior

The Light Pearl Beige (54) interior of the Thunderbird looks outstanding. The chrome and brightwork inside the car also looks great. The seats are in excellent condition and look just as nice in person as they do in the photos with no split seams, rips, or excessive wear. The carpet is also in very good condition with no rips or holes. The dash appears to have been capped and is in good condition with no cracks, fading, or sun damage. The original AM radio works and most importantly the dash has never been cut or modified for an aftermarket installation. The door panels look excellent. There are a couple hairline cracks in the trim above the right footwell. This car has not been smoked in; there are obviously no burn marks or aroma of cigarettes what-so-ever. The jack and spare tire are still with the car.

The interior looks just as good in person as it does in the photos.Mechanical

This Ford Thunderbird seems to be in good mechanical condition. The 390ci V8 engine starts every time, runs well, and idles smooth. The car drives nicely and just floats down the road. In the video below one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, braking to stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that there are no vibrations and the car performs quite well overall. The brakes do not pull to one side or the other. The transmission shifts smoothly throughout the power band. Also, the engine compartment is beautifully clean, highly, detailed, and correct as one can see in the photos with the correct and original air cleaner and valve covers. The headlights work as do the brights, horn, wipers, power top, gen light, oil light, and the blower for the heater on all speeds. All of the gauges work and even the clock still runs occasionally. The Ford does have some old car fluid drips. All of the windows work, but some need a hand, especially with the top up. The car has some rust underneath and has probably had some rust repair in the past. The door locks work fine from the inside, but we could not get them to work form the outside. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this Ford, especially with the top down on a beautiful day.Overall Condition

Overall, this 1962 Ford Thunderbird Convertible is in marvelous driver condition. The beautiful paint, clean interior, the low original mileage, and the beautiful original color combination make this car especially important and difficult to duplicate. This Thunderbird always gets a ton of attention driving down the road. It is very apparent that the vehicle has been well taken care of by its previous owners. One could easily enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal effort.
