Miles currently show 49684 (TMU, read below)

Is the engine original? Yes

What size engine is in it? 390

What kind of transmission is in the vehicle? AUTOMATIC

What state is the vehicle titled in? Kansas

What is the status of the title? clean

What I know about the history of the car from new?

I purchased this Vehicle from a Widow, she told me it originally belonged to her dad, he was the second owner and purchased it in 1964. After her Fathers passing she rolled the title into her name in 2013. She Told me the Mileage was Actual on the car but believed she must have made a mistake when she did the title work. So due to this the car must be presented as TMU. Basically she and her dad owned the car from 1964 to 2021 when I purchased it. When I purchased the car it had been parked in the shed for nearly 25 years. (See pictures of how it was found!) There are still real barn finds!

How original is the vehicle? Are there any modifications from stock?

The car was Purchased with Aftermarket Wire wheels on it but the original wheels were in the shed and the OEM hubcaps and skirts were in the trunk. I opted to purchase new Coker Bias whitewalls to make it as original as possible. As far as the rest of the car, its all original from what I can see, Fuel system was replaced to get it running as well as the battery, Brakes were also rebuilt.

Car runs and drives

AC Still cold (Despite it was not serviced)

All lights work as they should

All power windows work

Power seat works

Exhaust system solid

Has original spare and trunk mat

Floor mats are period correct T-bird mats that came with car.

Car still has original lock wires on fasteners that hold front sub/suspension on, just amazing!

Has the vehicle had any history of paintwork or bodywork? Yes, both.

I will elaborate, what exactly has been repainted, repaired, replaced, and why?

From what I can tell, the car has had some small touchup work here and there, nothing extensive and absolutely no rust I can identify! I think most of the paint on the car is original but I don’t have any true way of knowing. the previous owner didn’t have any recollection of paint or bodywork but prior to polishing the paint there were a few areas with different sheen which leads me to believe it had some touch up here and there, this would have been done many years ago (30plus). Car still has some different sheen here and there as I did not opt to color sand and buff.

What issues or problems does it currently have?

Seat – Front driver seat has a seam split (see pictures)

Air cleaner – At some point, somebody dented the air cleaner by the front breather, no history as to why.

Idle – Car has a little rough idle, its not terrible, I am fairly confident it has a vacuum leak because it comes and goes a bit. Again, its drivable but I am trying to note every little detail.

Heater core – When I purchased the car the heater core was bypassed, I have not checked it, I am assuming it will need a heater core.

Transmission leak – Transmission functions correctly but car has a fairly significant leak, I am assuming its the front seal as they get dry over time, I have not pulled the transmission out to check it.

Fuel sender – Unit was replaced but I think it maybe got hung up when installed because its doesn’t seem to be registering, I actually need to add more gas to verify (It may still work)

Paint chips (see pictures), small ding over drivers side rear wheel well, see left side of car picture

Paint below Passenger door is worn away – Maybe a old repair?

The car is not a perfect but a very amazing survivor – It would be a excellent candidate for a magnificent driver or a restoration.

Is there any rust present? If so, where is it located?

No rust present, I have had this car on the lift and would be willing to put it on lift for a prospective buyer. I see no rust, underside of this car is amazingly preserved.

How extensive are service records?

I did not receive much in the way service records with that car. Just a couple books and some old service coupons from a has been Ford dealer in Hutchinson.

How long ago was the last service? What work was done?

Car received a compression check and all 8 cylinders are 135 to 150PSI.

Fuel system was rebuilt/replaced – Tank, sending unit and fuel pump were replaced (Have old stuff if wanted).

Ignition system was serviced – New cap, rotor, points, condenser, wires and plugs.

Brakes serviced – New master cylinder, new wheel cylinders and new front flex lines.

Car was lightly buffed to bring some life back into the paint

Tires – Just mounted and balanced $1000 worth of Re-pop Coker Bias ply tires

Battery – Just replaced battery

AC in this car still blows cold, Heater core has been bypassed at some point in its life so I’m sure it needs replaced

Does have transmission leak but transmission performs as it should.

Car seems to have a little bit of a intermittent rough idle when stopped in drive under load but drives very smoothly once you start moving. I suspect that it still has a vacuum leak.

Amazingly all Four power windows still operate!

Exhaust is solid and intact.

Car was lightly buffed and detailed and is a super nice driver condition car.

This car is a supreme candidate for a 100% nut and bolt restoration.

This a super rare find in this condition, don’t miss your chance
