Hello this sort of rare find 1962 Chevrolet Impala wagon with 327 with the automatic transmission Numbers matching black with red interior. This Impala was in one family actually in a barn for many years and shows 18K on the odometer. In the last 5 years this car has been completely gone through top to bottom. Patina was left and preserved. Everything else has been replaced and refreshed or rebuilt. The car actually runs and drives Amazing!!. Mechanical- The engine runs like new and powerglide automatic has been serviced and shifts perfectly. The engine was completely gone through top to bottom and refreshed. All gaskets, valve seals and a full complete inspection of the bearings, rings and so on, It runs like new. It does have some mild upgrades for better drivability.It has an updated intake Edelbrock AVS carburetor. Upgraded msd style HEI ignition. The generator is completely rebuilt brand new. Has a new waterpump and thermostat along with new hoses. New aluminum radiator as well. New spark plugs and wires with the hei. The suspension has been completely gone through. New springs, ball joints, bushings, sway bar links, everything’s been replaced or refreshed. As you’ll see in the undercarriage photos all the fuel lines have been replaced as well as all the brake lines. There is a new fuel tank and sending unit. It has an updated electric fuel pump. All the brakes I’ve also been completely gone through, wheel cylinders, soft lines, hardware. As you see in the photos the floors are all perfect as well as inner rockers. All the electronics in the car including all your lights work perfectly. As well as the rear power window which works like brand new.
Cosmetic- As you can see in the photos the paint shows its original patina. We think it looks great if you like that look. The body is rock solid, all the chrome, glass moldings are all intact as you can see and are in great condition and original. If you wanted to paint the car it’s really not much to do because the body is perfectly solid. We happen to like the look, it gives sort of a menacing look but to each his own. The interior was also kind of done to the theme of the car. New carpets, new headliner, door panels. The dash is absolutely perfect The steering wheel chrome trim is like new as well as the gauges look perfect. We do have the matching seat covers as well but we’re not installed. The seats kind of look nice with the whole theme of it but if you wanted to change the covers they do go with the car. The car also has new tires and rally sport polished wheels. We also have many extras and books that go with the car.
