1962 IMPALA SUPER SPORTThe car was in a milk barn where it sat for many years. It has all its original sheet metal from the factory, even the trunk that looks yellow is original. The trunk was sprayed with epoxy primer and the rest of the car was sprayed with red primer. Never been repainted, the blue paint you see is original! The guy started sanding it and stopped. The rust on the outside is new surface rust. The man I bought it from pulled it home from the barn and it sat outside in the rain for a while. I keep it inside now.It has a very solid body. Except for a couple of spots in the floor and on both ends of the floor brace, the floor is good. The trunk has two spots also.I bought American made quarter skins made of thick gauge metal like the factory, not cheap, thin China stuff. Will need outer wheelhouses for around wheel openings. Good frame. If you don’t see some trim, it’s because it’s missing. If you don’t see it, I don’t have it. It was in a barn full of cars and parts, and the man I got it from couldn’t find them.

It did not run, I put an HEI distributor in it, changed oil, replaced water pump, hoses, thermostat, new aluminum radiator. It fires right up and runs smooth, looks like it was rebuilt before it was parked. Engine looks to be a 283. I don’t know if it is original, there isn’t a VIN stamped in it. After all I did, I found that the freeze plug behind the driver’s motor mount has a rust hole. It runs and drives around the yard. I didn’t go any farther on it. It needs brakes, lights, etc. done before you can drive it into town.GOOD CLEAN TITLE!Please call with any questions. Thanks, Mike 479 228 4304.
