1930 Model A BARN FIND.

This Model A sedan was resurrected last year after it had been in dry storage since 1955. Before starting the engine, the cylinders were fogged, the sump was dropped and cleaned, fresh oil added, a new oil pump installed, the ignition system refurbished, new fan belt, new upper radiator hose, distilled water added to the cooling system and fresh ethanol-free fuel added to the fuel tank. The engine starts easily and is smooth and quiet. The glass, upholstery, and drive train all appear to be original. The car starts, steers, and stops perfectly, with some chattering of the clutch. There is surface rust on the underside, but no rot in the metal or wood. This is a complete unrestored car that could be displayed as a conversation piece or a starting point for restoration.
