This is a vintage time capsule barn find 1930 – 31 Model A Ford standard Phaeton. This car represents what happened to many Model A’s in the early days when you would assemble a car from what was available for cheap here and there. This car has a 1930 chassis running gear with a 1931 indented firewall standard phaeton body. This was last inspected in October of 1959 in New Hamshire. Soon after, it was parked in a small barn in Hohokus New Jersey and then I rescued it in June of 2017. I had a new top by Classtique installed. Also a new radiator from Brattons, their best one. Rebuilt water pump and Tillotson carb. I also put in a new door panel kit with kick panels from Labaron- Bonney. Seats are in very good condition. The body work from the 1950’s is just plain terrible. The doors have multiple dents and the left front quarter panel has rust through. Rest of the panels are solid and the doors are solid even on the bottoms. Headlights were restored as was the horn. This has original clad door handles inside and out. Other things I have done: new reproduction stainless domed center hubcaps, restored tailights, restored original bumper clamps, new correct radiator hoses. New muffler assembly. This has a nice set of original shock absorbers with the proper links. Has a new wiring harness. Has a super nice 1931 radiator shell. Has a set of new spark plugs. All 5 tires have dry rot but hold air very well. This runs nicely and has a new 6 volt battery in it. The original restored pop-out ignition switch works properly. Does not have side curtains. Engine number does not match title. Never took the left front fender off to see the frame number so frame number may not match the title number, however this does have a serial number tag on the firewall for ID. Speedometer reads all zeroes so true mileage is unknown. This car will need a complete brake job. New set of brake shoes included to get things started. The chassis was never restored so it has surface rust and dirt accumulation. Test drove in my yard and this runs well and shifts properly in all the gears. DO NOT USE EBAY SECURE CHECK-OUT.
