When told someone has a car or truck that has been sitting in a barn for 25 years you don’t have much hope, especially in the region we currently reside (rust belt), but when we got the call that a truck had been sitting for 25 years in a barn in Minnesota our curiosity was peaked. Upon inspection the truck seemed to be in amazing shape, it was pulled in 25 years ago and had never been touched until recently. As you can see the from all the barn dust and dirt. We had the truck moved to us and as soon as it arrived we put it on a lift to assess the damage. To our amazement the rust was extremely minimal. There are two small rusted thru spots on the cab corners, other than that, it’s mostly surface rust or scaling. The biggest surprise came after we changed the battery, oil and filter and flushed the coolant. We installed a new fuel tank, added fresh fuel… and it came to life immediately, and holds a good idle! We didn’t touch the ignition system, we were shocked when it fired to life and ran smooth. no engine knock, the brake pedal is strong, and the clutch engages smoothly. This is going to be an amazing project for someone looking for an all original truck to restore, or just have fun with!
