I have too many toys and too many projects. Some need to find new homes. Here is your chance to rehome a low mile barn find.
Up for grabs is my 1979 Ford Granada ESS (European Sports Sedan). This is a car that I rescued from its 20+ year slumber in a shed on a farm. It’s a barn find that has been cleaned up and is ready for a new owner. This is a rare find not only for being a barn find but also because it’s a 2-door 302 V8 car (with automatic transmission)…but having only 35k miles on the odometer is a nice bonus.
This car was purchased from the original owner. I have the original title and owner’s manual and other paperwork. I also have repair manuals (new) that will be included along with a very nice owner’s manual. It is currently titled in my name (clean and clear title).
The car has a good body for the most part. It’s not perfect but is pretty straight. It is rust free other than a few pinholes in the trunk. There is surface rust where it has scratches and chips. The left taillight mounts are not very good. I have a very nice left taillight that I’m including though. The paint would shine if it was waxed but does look good as it is. It would look nice enough to drive while fixing it up. A little work and it would be like new again. It would be a pretty easy project.
The interior is all there but could use a little attention. The mice got into the seats and carpet and headliner. I was going to put in new carpet and headliner (they are cheap)…and get a set of racing bucket seats to make it suit me. The seats could also be recovered if desired. The car has neat looking interior.
The car was running when it was parked. Time got away from the previous owners. It sat for long enough that the engine got stuck. I pulled the plugs and soaked it. It was beginning to turn over. You could mess with it and finish freeing it up and give it a tune up and drive it if desired…or just pull it and go through it and build a 347 stroker and throw a tunnel ram on it like I was going to do. A hood scoop or custom cowl hood would make this car look mean and unique. I was going to put a set of wide and taller tires on the back and a set of skinnies on the front to complete the look.
The car is all original. Everything is original. It’s like a time capsule. The tires are no good. It still has the original tires and hubcaps on it. It obviously needs some work but would be a neat car when done. You don’t find 35k mile barn finds every day.
The clear title and keys are waiting for a new owner. I have too many projects already. I’m out of space in my garage.
Don’t miss your chance to own this low mile collectible. There are lots of possibilities for the end result. You could restore it back to original…build a hot rod…build a drag car…or whatever your heart desires.
If shipping is necessary, I’ll work with you if you can get arrangements made. I’ll do whatever I can do to help out with getting it on its way to you.
