1970 Plymouth Barracuda 340
There is a lot of history associated with this car. A gentleman who lived in Charleston Illinois bought this Cuda new in 1970. It was 340ci high performance engine with a Borg Warner 4 speed transmission. The car was painted B-5 Blue. In late 1970 he replaced the motor with a date code 1968 440 ci high performance engine with rare center squirter 850 cfm carb. He then began drag racing at local and regional level NHRA events.In the 1980s he put the Cuda in storage with 52k title miles on it.
The car was discovered in 2018 after his death. The car was placed on the market and it took 3 hours to unbury the Cuda and take it Charleston SC. We started taking the trim off to evaluate rust. As you can see some rust particularly around the rear window where the vinyl top covered. Already purchased replacement metal that will be sold with the car. The dash has no cracks. Headliner in new condition. The seats will need to be recovered. The 440 engine is apart, but we have all the parts for it.
This is amazing car with one owner with alot of history. This car has great bones for a full restoration or resto mod.
