Ford offered 3 429 versions and this the Thunder Jet was the most economically offered version. This the street version high powered big block factory racer was equipped with heavy duty sway bar and of course a 4 barrel carb. You will find this with a Ford favorite Big Block C6 automatic transmission and drum brakes all the way around. You will find the 9 inch rear driveshaft & suspension undisturbed so totally stock. This is a real deal 429 car with a N code designation is loaded with Automatic transmission as well as the rare option of A/C and needed Power steering all make this a joy to drive. Ford built with these with the extra strong big sway bar and a 9 Inch 3.00 Rear End and GT Suspension. Factory equipped with the sure stopping 11 inch drum Brakes. Also stock are a set of optional simulated mag wheel hub caps and AM radio to make this a truly stock all the classic.
So the body needs attention and the previous owner has due to health problems abandon his dream. His attention to detail drove him to order panels to eliminate rust thats not even there. The auction comes with an original rust free front torque box, a complete 1 piece Floor and toe area, Also both complete 1/4 panels ( 800 each) as well as wheel housings and trunk drops. In our opinion his car does not need all the panels but the are included. The doors fenders and hood need help & can be attended to by some excess parts we have so ask for those and any other rust questions
