1969 Plymouth Road Runner 383 4-speed numbers matching with an original 42K miles in the original orange exterior color with original black interior data plate verified. This car is an absolute garage/ barn Discovery. We’ve had this car now for about a year and a half and I’ve completely gone through it mechanically top to bottom It runs and drives like a beast absolutely perfect. I will fully describe all details in this listing so please be sure to read it all. As far as the car goes cosmetically the undercarriage the floor the trunk is absolutely unbelievable as you can see in all the details photos. The interior is original and in very good condition. This car is an unbelievable head turner. There is over 100+ pictures please see description
Cosmetics: as you can see in the photos the car did suffer some paint failure. It was in a garage slash barn for years. Unfortunately there was some access through some old skylights and windows and some sun was beating on the paint. The car’s body is laser straight. Rockers are 100% solid no rust. The undercarriage is the best I’ve seen. Floorboards, torque boxes, wall frame rails are absolutely perfect still carries a heavy coating on the underside. It seems like who everyone this car kept on top of the undercarriage making sure keep it well preserved thankfully. It was not on a dirt floor which was great because it preserved it perfectly. As you can see there’s some checking and paint failure top of the car paint flaking and checking. If you want the car absolutely perfect I would paint it. If it doesn’t bother you just enjoy the car it actually kind of has a cool patina to it. How often do you come across a 383 numbers matching 4 speed with 42K miles.
Mechanical: since we’ve had the car we’ve pretty much done everything mechanically to make it completely road worthy. All fluids have been replaced. Completely gone through any suspension bushings, control arms, anything needed. Complete ignition tune up plugs wires so on and so forth. Completely gone through all brakes, fresh fluid, brake lines, adjustments It stops great. Has a brand new carburetor and we also kept the original to have it. Car is pretty stock with the exception of an Edelbrock intake, and some exhaust work headers things of that nature. Some hot rod style dress up things in the engine bay. An additional electric fan. Fuel tank was cleaned all associated a fuel lines checked replaced as necessary. Tires have almost new tread left. But do you have a little age on them. Has the original radio still in the car. The clutch, throw a bearing are absolutely perfect like new. The rear differential of course serviced fluids are replaced. This roadrunner drives fantastic with an unbelievable amount of power.
We are Hot rod and classic car shop and we actually planned on keeping this car but we need to make some room for some new projects so right now some of the personal toys have to go. If you’re a Mopar and a roadrunner fan I’m sure you alerting know the price of these cars. So with this price this should be a great opportunity for someone to either drive the car cosmetically how it looks enjoy it turn heads wherever you go or if your paint guy do some paint work and have an unbelievable car save a ton of money doing so. This of course is all preference we actually likes the patina. We have 100% clean clear title and our personal name.
