Well we all here the term BARN FIND to describe all kinds of cars being found in everything but a Barn , BUT this is a true real deal Barn Find from a dirt floor South Dakota Barn.It still has a 1974 South Dakota title and a South Dakota license plate expired in 1976!This is a real 100 percent numbers matching Original driveline with transverse muffler and all, 1969 Ford Mustang S code 390 4 barrel and 4 speed transmission Fastback with standard interior with fold down rear seat and FACTORY TACHOMETER AND TRIPOMETER dash! The original interior is still very decent with only the drivers seat having seems split apart and the carpet shot from floor rust. No speaker holes have been cut in any of the interior panels and even the original radio knobs are still in place!This car has 47,000 Actual miles! It is evident from the miles all being perfectly in line plus the brake and clutch pedal pads as well as still having the original brake drum retaining clips on the rear brake drums!The car has a new fuel tank and does run and will drive onto a transporter. I did put a used Holley carb on it to make it run but I put the Original Ford carb with the ID tag in the trunk!I also installed a new brake master cylinder on it so it has light brakes. I put original master cylinder in the trunk as well. The left rear wheel brake cylinder leaks but the front disc brakes do stop the car.While being a very rare S code NON Mach1 Fastback the Elite Marti report shows this car with its options as being a 1 of 1 car!This is a rare big block car that has never had headers or air shocks or shackles or traction bars ever added to it but instead it has a rear trailer hitch! Hhhhhm, maybe this was used to pull a 65 Mustang Fastback Gasser to the strip?? Who knows but the hitch and trailer light wiring are still in place!All lights and gauges work as well as the factory tach!
The original door tag, engine tag, carb tag and body buck tags are all present!
The down side of this car is the actually sitting in a dirt floor barn for 45 years. It does have a fair amount of undercarriage rust! Yes, that means it needs floors, torque boxes, rear ends of frame rails and some right front frame repair as well as the front frames that go under the front seat pans.Please don’t ask for more pictures of floor rust etc. as I explained that the floors all need replacing it’s as simple as that!It would also probably need most of the exterior sheet-metal replaced as well.This car is NOT a junk basket case , it just needs the most typical rust repairs of a mid-west Mustang. I am including a pair of new torque boxes, rear frame rail repair sections, a new original style rear deck spoiler and a new set of factory rear window louvers!I have the 1974 South Dakota signed off OPEN title for this car as well as the framed Elite Marti report that will go with it!
