Here is a 30 year barn find with gorgeous patina, that is selling at no reserve – high bid owns it. This 1969 Ford F-100 Ranger 4X2 Long bed. It has 107,534 babied miles on the clock. It is a four owner truck and is documented with a Deluxe Marti Report. We purchased it from the 3rd owner. His father was the second owner that died in 1993. It has been started occasionally for the last 30 years. Last plated in 1996. It has been here in Colorado for all but the 1st couple of years. This is a really special truck. It was special ordered from the St. Louis DSO with special paint number 3131. I sent the glove box door to Kevin Marti for paint chip analysis under a microscope and It has been verified to be Indian Fire Metallic by Kevin Marti as shown on the report. It still wears almost all of its original paint. This is the only known and verified 1969 F-100 in this incredible color and one of only 2400 produced with special paint/trim code. I had an aerosol can of Indian Fire Metallic paint made and did a spray out card to compare to the inside passenger door area, and it is a perfect match. It has the original FE big block 360 c.i. 2V engine and C6 automatic transmission. Also original are the following: Bumpers, bumper guards, FoMoCo outside mirrors, radiator, steering gear box, master cylinder (I have cleaned it up and coated it to prevent rust), intake, heater core, carburetor, all glass, windshield wipers, rearview mirror, headliner, visors, seatbelts, door panels, all 5 wheels, hubcaps, radio, and carpet. New items include seat upholstery (changed to charcoal), tires, radiator hoses, front brake pads and wheel cylinders, and spark plugs. It normally starts on the first try, runs, shifts, stops and steers wonderfully with no smoke or lifter noise. There is no rust in the floors, bottoms of doors, cowl, firewall, door sills, cab corners, hood, cab, or bed. inside of the bed is excellent. The bright paint spots on the sides of the bed are where the original owner (an electrician) had stenciled on his business name and phone number and the 2nd owner removed it. No paint has been added there. Even the original glove box lid sticker and the cargo light warning sticker are still in place as shown! The grille is very nice. Missing some of the tailgate trim. All of the original glass (even the windshield!) is Carlite and date coded A69 and is all in excellent condition. All of the windows function properly. There is a pinhole in the very top backside of the radiator. There are 3 spots of rust as shown. Both outside door corners and RH front fender on the bottom corner. There are two flat under bed braces that do have rust and are an easy fix. The VIN stamp in the front frame rail matches the data tag and title.
All lights, blinkers, wipers, fuel and temp gauges, horn, radio, speedometer, odometer, dome light, cargo light, dash lights, hazard lights, work well. Heater blows hot air on medium and high fan speed. The padded dash is cracked. It has had a fuel tank from a blue 1969 f-100 truck installed at some point that we drained and cleaned. The shifter lever has to be held all the way up in the park position before the truck will start, so it needs to have the linkage adjusted. No build sheet has been found.
The last photo shows the truck just after being loaded and removed from 30 years of storage in a building.
I do have a 1 minute video, but I can’t get it to post here, so if you are a serious bidder just message me with your phone and I’ll try to send it to you.
In short, this is the very definition of an extremely rare optioned, desirable, survivor, barn find F-100 Ranger! You literally will never see another one like it. Bid with confidence as I have been on Ebay over 20 years with 100% positive feedback!
