We found this Bronco in Idaho from the original owner. It was originally purchased for a custom build, but we could not bare to touch it, so we cleaned it up for someone else to preserve and enjoy. We would prefer to sell to someone that will keep the originality of the truck and just improve the mechanics to make a fun driver. We envision a new engine with fuel injection, new suspension, four wheel disc brakes and reupholster the seat and leave the beautiful patina would make this a great driver for someone to enjoy.
It is currently not running. We have not tried to get the Bronco running, nor have we done any service (brakes, fluids, etc.) to it.
The Bronco appears to be very original and we would guess that the V8 is the original 302 that it came from the factory with. It also appears to have the stock three speed, “Three on the tree” manual transmission. The air clean, radiator, plumbing, brakes, etc. all also appears to be original. It still retains the factory four wheel drum brakes and steel wheels. It has a very nice factory hard top that does not appear as if it was ever taken off. It also has the factory bulkhead and a rare bench seat. It also has a very cool full size spare tire and spare carrier with a vintage Firestone tire.
We cut and buffed the paint and it looks great! Overall this Bronco is unremarkably solid! There is very little rust and all of the common problem areas are very solid, like the door pillars and hinges, firewall, inner fenders, cargo area, tailgate, etc. There appears to be a little rot in the floors, but nothing too bad. The lower portion of the rockers are not rotted, but they look a little thin and could be replaced.
