I am helping sell this great-American-classic survivor, 1969 Javelin SST, 2-door, hard-top, to help settle an estate. Since Mrs. Calderon’s family purchased this car new, it has always been barn or garage-kept and very-well maintained. It has only 30,470, original miles – all driven in the dry climate of Oklahoma. It has a straight, extremely solid body – with minor dings and its original color (code 79A) Bittersweet Orange Metallic finish.
The entire (code 961F) black charcoal vinyl interior has survived pretty well, but is missing the door panels. It has factory air conditioning, bucket seats, console, V8 and original radio. All of the glass is good, but the driver’s door glass is off track and laying on the back seat. All of the trim, chrome and emblems are in good shape. The undercarriage still looks very good.
This car was driven into the barn 25 years ago and it has not been started since. We pulled the car out of the barn yesterday – we did not attempt to start is but we did turn it over. The car rolls and steers freely. We hosed the dust off so you could see the quality of car you are bidding on. This is truly a great investment – climbing in value every year. The current NADA Book Value is: Average-$20,150; High-$53,750. Do not let these values stop you from making an offer today.
