Original HM code Coronet Super Bee 2dr Sedan with the 440 Magnum engine with two 4 barrel carburetors mated to a 4spd manual transmission with Hurst pistol grip shifter. Full ground up restoration completed about 20 years ago by the previous owner who has owned the car almost 30 years. Restored with an emphasis to make the car the best Super Bee it could be rather than the most original. The engine is a fully built and blueprinted correct 440 Magnum from a GTX with a mild cam estimated to be producing 500HP with the two four barrel carburetors pulling air through a custom air cleaner assembly fed by a working Ramcharger intake system with functional dual hood scoops. The transmission is a proper 4spd manual with the obligatory Hurst pistol grip shifter and shifts great, pushing through a 3.3 ratio locking differential to give great acceleration while still turning under 3K RPM at current elevated highway speed. The steering is all power assisted with a proper steering system and the braking is handled by an absolutely impressive power four wheel disc system with proper Dodge disc front brakes and upgraded rear disc brakes fitted from a Crown Victoria. Power makes it to the ground through Magnum style chrome wheels with massively wide rear BFG tires that fill the rear wheel wells perfectly. The frame and suspension have all been upgraded to handle the big HP including welded subframe connectors and rear traction bars. The engine sends spent gasses through a set of coated Hooker headers and full custom exhaust system with dual electrically remote operated cut outs to give you the choice between mild or wild depending on your mood at the push of a button. The car drives absolutely UNBELIEVABLE for a 60’s muscle car and really is amazing to drive. The underbody is all excellent with all new floor and trunk panels during the restoration and no signs of rust or puttied up rust repairs. The interior is exceptional as well with no issues to be noted and a super cool upgraded custom dash with retro gauges, LED indicators, upgraded swivel hidden screen CD player with powerful upgraded speaker and trunk mounted subwoofer, and all dash lights, interior lights, indicators, wipers, etc in proper working order. The lights have been upgraded to LED bulbs and really light the road properly with proper aiming and operation more like you would expect from a modern car. All glass seals and window operation is top notch with solid closing doors with no rattles, no water leaking issues, and proper working keys and door locks. The car starts right up every time with no protesting or multi step routine and settles into a nice calm but slightly cammy idle with a nice rumble or dragster like thumping, your choice at the touch of a button. The car has the factory interior ventilation system and rear pop out windows that push an impressive amount of cool air through the cabin making you wonder why you would ever need A/C. There are some really nice touches and attention to detail on the body including seamless quarter welds at the back glass, tidied up headlight and tail light surround on the body to eliminate the poorly fitting original multi piece design, bumpers pulled tight to the body, and excellent panel gap fitment with satisfying feel to the open and close of every panel. The Yellow paint is in very good overall condition with no major issues to be noted but it is an older restoration completed by the previous owner himself so it isn’t concours show quality, but nothing that needs attention either. I would classify it as good for a yellow car, but maybe not good enough if it were a black one. It does present itself very well and looks like a pristine show car to everyone but the most trained professional (which I am). Truly an absolutely amazing example with incredible attention to details, fully sorted and capable of driving cross country, with all the Mopar “cool” boxes checked, while still being a very true to original example and a real HM VIN Super Bee!
