Hello All,

First off I must say, If you don’t plan to buy, please don’t bid.

Thank you.

Up for sale is my 1968 Dodge Charger. I’ve owned this car for just over 3 years. I’m going to do my best to tell you about the car. Feel free to call me if you would like to talk about the car.

I’m the 3rd owner of this car. The gentleman I bought the car from owned the car over 40 years. He bought it from the original owner in 1978. This has been a garage kept car.

I have the Original Window Sticker, Owners Manual, Warranty Book, Build Sheet and Fender tag is in place.

The car has had some awesome documentation from the original owner, and on to the second owner. Note pads and note books of maintenance on the car from the very beginning. Starting in 5-1-1968 when the car had its first state inspection. All maintenance recordings up to April of 2019.

There are many old original books to the car. The service manual from 1968.

The wiring diagram manual.

Chilton’s repair and tune up book.

Part number reference book.

Motor City Originals Restoration book.

Spare set of Keys.

Even a bottle of Chrysler Touch up paint.

This is a Numbers Matching 383 V8 with 727 Auto Trans. 8 3/4 Rear End

This is basically a survivor car. The car had one repaint back in the late 80’s. Repainted the original color. The vinyl top is original to the car. All original sheet metal, trim and glass. This is a very solid car.

The interior is all original with the exception of the carpet. I put in a new carpet kit from year one. The Headliner, seats, seat belts, door panels, dash panels and gauges are all original. I did install the aftermarket gauges above the console to have better readings over the new motor. So some factory gauges do not work do to this.

I have put countless hours of labor in this car over the past few years. I am very detail oriented and a little OCD. It’s a blessing and a curse. Haha

Over the past 3 years of owning this car I have put just under $30k worth of parts on it. Parts alone. Including engine and trans rebuild. I do all my own work, other than machine work on engine and trans rebuild. I have almost every receipt for the parts.

Fresh Rebuild on the 383 Engine

Rebuilt 727 Transmission with Stall converter

I gutted everything out from under the hood and underneath the car. Freshened up the paint in the engine bay with new base clear paint. Freshened up the undercoat under the car. Went back with all new suspension parts and upgrades. Everything that was reused was cleaned up and painted.

Some of the parts list…. I know I’m going to forget a lot. So please ask questions.

All machine work was done at Mission Machine Shop here in town.

This is an original P/S P/B and A/C Car.

The car is set up for aftermarket A/C. I was going to do Vintage Air but just never got to it.

The car runs and drives. But I have yet to street test the car.

The car will need some minor things to be completely street ready.

Battery is relocated to the trunk but is not mounted yet. (Can easily be mounted back under hood.)

The car does have some small rust pops but nothing really serious. Small pops in lower rear quarters. Some pops under the vinyl roof.

For about a 40 year old paint job the car looks great. It’s a strong 7 out of 10 for show quality. The interior is right there with it. Truly a time capsul of a car.

I know I’m forgetting a lot. Feel free to ask questions. I can be reached at any time.

I have most of the original parts that came off of the car if buyer is interested. (Intake, carb, air cleaner, radiator and shroud, hood, hood hinges, AC, pulleys and brackets, valve covers. And so on…..

If you would like to call me just send me a message and I’ll send you my phone number.
