1967 Triumph TR4A Barn Find 49k orig Miles.

1967 Triumph TR4A. Barn find 49k original miles with engine running well!

I just retrieved this car from a retired couple. He bought it in 1988 and drove it home to restore with his kids. That never happened and he is at the age and ability of not being able to do anything with it.

It has sat in his barn since 1988 and has not run. Engine was not frozen. I put Marvel mystery oil in each cylinder and across valve train and let is soak for a few days. Drained and changed oil, added spin on oil filter adapter and new Wix filter, drained and refilled coolant, changed plugs, distributor cap, rotor, points, condenser, plug wires, coil, new rebuilt AC fuel pump and filters, removed, cleaned and rebuilt carburetors with new jet assemblies. Add fuel and battery and it started righted up on fast idle and settled down to normal idle. Good oil pressure and temperature stayed at normal range.

I have not replaced brake or clutch hydraulics. Car is rolling. It needs a lot of work, but is definitely not a parts car. Having restored Triumphs over the years, this one is still very solid.

Original color was Triumph Racing Green Code 25 on commission plate (very desirable) with black interior. Still has its original rear occasional seat. This was a factory option and still retains original mounting hardware on rear shelf. Rare to see that still there. The tunnel cover looks to be new and never installed. It is a fiberglass unit. Also included is the rear bumper and bumper guards as well as new rocker panel that he bought many years ago.
