Here we have a very rare 1967 Mercury Cougar XR7 390 GT, a 84451 Mile Pole barn find – 25+ Years Storage under the roof of my storage pole barn. This is a rare survivor with the original Running Gear 390 GT 4 Barrel uses the durable Big Block C6 Automatic Transmission. Factory equipped with the extra strong 9 Inch Rear End and GT Suspension. Fully optioned with Deluxe woodgrain interior, Factory tachometer and the full live gauges located in the passenger dash trim panel. Youll is in fair condition as it was restored right before we parked it so it is not destroyed as inside storage which kept it intact Also offers another rare item the Tilt Tiltaway steering column, and center console.
Being loaded as an XR7 it offers Power Steering & Factory Air Conditioning. Also equipped with the sure stopping Power assisted Disc Brakes & of course Styled Steel Wheels shown in the back seat. The exterior Gt options continue with the Hideaway headlight Grille and the ever so famous sequential tail light assemblies.
This desirable classic is a highly optioned car is pretty much stock. Stored as it was another of the cars I was going to do but its time to go. The factory 390 4 barrel has an Edelbrock intake with a Holley carburetor up under the hood. The C 6 automatic transmission is stock down to the cooling lines hooked to the original 3 core radiator. The large big block drive shaft hooks the heavy duty 9 inch rear as it was assembled many years ago.
This classic will come back to life easy as it was once had a restoration started. Having said that it will need a complete build as was stated because of the extensive period of storage. Even though running when parked we chose to not start the motor but will guarantee it is not seized and does turn over. Nothing is locked up or missing but all is in need of some attention. We will be glad to discuss this car in detail but be assured the value will certainly be well worth it in the end as we know these are a deluxe version of the big block Mustang. With the rare teal colored exterior and complementing interior this highly optioned classic is sure to be deserving high value once properly restored. United States Postal Service carries an additional $25.00 charge for package drop off at nearest station.
