This 1967 Glas 1700gt was recently discovered in an enclosed garage where it sat covered for nearly 50 years. It appears to have been repainted, possibly in its original color, yellow, prior to placing it in storage back in 1975 .

The door panels are complete and without any defects. The carpet is still in place and without any holes. The dashboard, steering wheel, and instrument panels are original and in good condition.

The exterior of the car is complete, and it is 98% rust free .A couple of items to address: Driver’s side mirror is broken; one small dent on passenger front fender ; small bubbling on lower front passenger fender ( doesn’t appear to be penetrating) . All four tires are deflated from sitting idle for 50 years. .

Mechanically, no attempt has been made to start it . The motor is still installed and other mechanical parts, including the gas tank, are stored in the trunk.

With only 1680 ever made, this example is a must have for any collector desiring a straightforward restoration. This is a true california barnfind . Stay tuned for upcoming pictures of this authentic barnfind, minus the 50 year old dust .The previous owner is in the process of locating any paperwork associated with this Glas , including any invoices or recipes.
