1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 One Owner Barn Find – How often do you find a One Owner 138 1967 Chevelle 396, 12 Bolt, Bench Seat ,AC, PS, Power Drum Brake car.. It has sat in the original owners barn since 1997, since rescuing it from the barn I have added a new fuel tank, sending unit, coil, points, condenser, fuel pump and rebuilt the carburetor. On the brake side it now has 4 new wheel cylinders, 2 brake hoses and one line, brake hardware and a new master cylinder. It cranks and runs on the first turn and also stops fine but the transmission slips bad in high gear ( the reason that it was parked in 1997) and I haven’t had it rebuilt yet. The engine compartment looks original and the engine is a 396 but it is a 1969 model engine that was swapped out in 69 by the local Chevrolet dealer. Also somewhere down the line the owner swapped the original powerglide transmission out for a turbo 350. It had an original color re- paint job in the 70’s and the left quarter panel shows some cracks at the rear, it also has a little bit of rust in a few places but is overall in good condition. Everything else is just the way that it came from the factory, interior looks very good with no rips, (headliner is torn in two places) all of the glass is also in good condition, the floor pans are pretty solid with 2 small holes that measure a couple inches across, the trunk pan isn’t as good as the floors but I have pictures of everything if needed. The car isn’t a show car but with the transmission fixed it could be a very cool and great driver as is. I am selling it as Bill Of Sale Only but I do have the original title but the son signed it after his fathers death in 97 and I’m not sure that you can use it but it goes with it and can probably be used to get a new title.
