1965 Ford Thunderbird Convertible Emberglo Metallic Paint Barn Find
390 Cubic Inch 8-Cylinder (4 Barrel) original engine made 300hp with the 3-speed Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission on the tree.
The car has been in the same family since new and has never been parked outside. Car was barley used with only 17,655 miles, it is also fully complete with nothing removed.
This car is a unique ’65 T-Bird in that it was ordered as a convertible with the special Emberglo Metallic paint (stamped S “Special” since it was a convertible) and special Landau trim.
The car was always stored in a building which has prevented rust and preserved it very well. This time capsule Thunderbird has been in this particular barn for the last 15 years but the engine still turns over when you turn the key.
The reason the car is being sold is that the owners are in their 80s and don’t drive anymore.
1965 Thunderbirds are great with their huge vinyl back wraparound couch rear seats and sequential rear turn signal indicators. Highly optioned with factory A/C and power seats.
