Presenting a unique opportunity to own an Original 1964 Mercury Comet Cyclone, two Owner Cream/Palomino (Color/Interior). This Cyclone is one of 7454 made with much less still on the road.

This car was pulled out of my neighbor’s backyard, where it had been parked for over 25 years. I pulled it out and got it running, cleaning up a few things to make it work. The Comet Cyclone “Barn-Find” was sitting on flat, rotted bias ply tires sunk in the dirt about 2 feet. I took 30 hours of hillbilly engineering, jacking, and digging to get the 100% original tires, rims, and hubcaps off and on blocks. I am using a set of take-off rims and tires from a 2005 Mustang that fit with an adapter plate to move her around. I do have the original steelies and stainless-steel Cyclone-only caps (they come with it).

The Cyclone comes with as many of the original parts as I have. I did find the script that was missing from the driver’s side and two new sets of tail lights for it. Email me if you have a question.

Please look at the pictures. She needs some TLC, but she is an original CA car with some rust, the area which is the worst in the driver’s footwell (I have a NEW patch panel that comes with it). The Cyclone also has some rot where the driver’s quarter was damaged (a replacement Used bumper and quarter go with it). The only body damage other than the floor rust is the driver’s quarter panel, which could be fixed, or a patch could be made from the replacements I have. 12-25 I added pictures of the drivers foot-well issue and pictures of the frame rails and trunk.

Edit:
Someone asked whether she was drivable and why the power steering belt was not on. I have driven her up and down the street but I would not drive her until the trans gets a service and the power steering pump lines get replaced (I have new they come with the car).
