1960 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible
Here is something you don’t find everyday, a 1960 Corvette Convertible that’s a barn find that was owned for over 59 years by the same person!! Helen Simpson had purchased this Vette on February 24 1965 and has kept it ever since. With only 61,000 miles she had only gotten it out for special occasions and nice weather to drive and enjoy. Over time she had gotten older and wasn’t able to get it out like she should and it was put in her lean-to. The Vette sat in that spot for about 30 years until I was able to save it. I was told that while it was parked in the lean-to that some people helped themselves to various parts like the intake and carburetor and transmission. Also it seems to have some of the beauty rings and center caps missing. The car seems to have most of its original Ermine White paint (well as much paint that is left on the car). Please look at all the pictures in detail and if you have any other questions please let me know. Please note that it might be a day or so before I can get to the car to look at anything to answer questions or get any more photos because I have it stored in a friend’s building. Please note the car does roll very easily and the frame seems to be very solid but check all the photos for confirmation. Thank you
