PLEASE VIEW ALL THE MANY PHOTOGRAPHS AND VIDEOS

LISTED BELOW THE DESCRIPTION.

This 65 year old 1957 Chevrolet Bel air Black 2 door sport coupe is truly one of the most documented low mileage original black 57 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 door sport coupe survivors known to exist.

Only traveling roughly 4000 miles in the last 53 years from 1969 to 2022. The first owners name was Emmett Pate from Floyd’s County, Virginia who purchased this car brand new in 1957 from Floyd Chevrolet Motor Company dealership in Floyd, Virginia as documents show. He always babied the car and kept it garaged and covered for the 1st 12 years of his ownership driving the car just 45,918 original miles as you will see in the documentation.

As it was said he never drove the car in the rain and it was always in his attached heated garage and only used as a secondary vehicle and babied from new while in original owner Emmett Pates possession.

The 2nd Owner Doc Rudolph Burnette from Roanoke, VA purchased the car from the original owner Emmett Pate in 1969 with just under 45,920 original miles with mileage statement documentation and with his purchased date and mileage documents. Check out Doc Burnette’s last registration sticker still on the windshield from 1977. He paid Emmett Pate 1st owner a whooping $1400 on January 1st, 1969 as you will see also documented in his log book. It was then put into heated storage covering, maintaining and preserving the car for the future.

In the next roughly 35 years he always took meticulous care of the car in his heated new garage covered at his home. Astonishingly, he only drove the car roughly 2082 miles of careful driven miles in his ownership in the next 35 years. See old news paper article photos Sept 1978 with Doc putting his Doc 57 license plate on his baby. He kept it exercised and lubricated in showroom condition always covered and polished in his climate controlled garage at his home only driving the car short distances to keep it like new.

His wife sold the car to the third owner Bobby Hall for whooping $3200 on 12-4-2004 after her husband’s Doc Burnette’s unfortunate passing. You will see that Doc Burnette kept the car registered with his license plate “Doc 57” during his ownership every year with mileage statements logged in his 35 years of care taking. Please see the photos listed. As mentioned his wife selling to 3rd owner Bobby Hall in 2004 with roughly just under 48,000 original miles at the time. Bobby Hall’s wife Kathy Hall and Rudolph Doc Burnette’s wife were good friends, both living in Roanoke, Virginia and when Doc Rudolph Burnette passed away Mrs. Betty Burnette sold the car to Doc’s best friend Bobby Hall 3rd owner.

Make sure to see the billboards that Bobby Hall had made with the incredible story and magazine history of ownership. Astonishingly, Bobby Hall only drove this car roughly 1525 documented miles in the next 13 years of his ownership to keep the car mechanically top notch fully lubricated exercised and fresh before selling the car to 4th owner Peter Borchert in 2017. The first owner had a heated garage, the 2nd, 3rd and 4th owners kept this car in heated climate controlled garages. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th owner’s always enclosed car trailered this car to the car shows to keep the mileage low then would load the car back into the trailer after winning original class survivor unrestored trophies bringing it back home and putting it back into safe covered home storage with car cover. You will see that both 2nd, 3rd, and 4th owners barely drove this car over the years of their ownership.

Bobby Hall then sold the car to Peter Borchert 4th owner in Arizona in 2017 with 49,525 miles as the Arizona title shows. Mr. Borchert also barely drove the car keeping it in pristine original condition in his climate controlled garage with his other all original low mileage classic cars and trucks only putting on a mere documented 186 miles in his 5 years of ownership documented.

I purchased this car from Peter Borchert 4th owner and have only driven it 2 miles in my ownership see video keeping it covered in my climate controlled home garage always running and exercising the car to keep it like new you will now see the mileage in photos at my home at 49713 miles.

Please see the magazine and newspaper articles, mileage statements, certificate of titles, registrations, build sheet, and much more shown in the photos documenting this cars history, mileage and ownership through out its 65 year history.

This car was purchased day one new in 1957 beautiful Onyx black, with Silver interior, 283/220HP, 3 speed overdrive manual transmission, with four barrel carburetor as the very rare build sheet shows. Also ordered with electric windshield wipers, passenger side mirror, deluxe heater, tinted windows, wonder bar radio with rare factory rear speaker option, note the extra rear speaker knob on the dashboard to name a few.

This car has its original 65 year old pristine original onyx black lacquer paint and all its original 65 year old complete silver interior as mentioned and is virgin original from day one. Also the original engine compartment with original paint that is still on the entire cast steel engine, intake manifold, air cleaner and valve covers, also the firewall inner fenders with original Chevrolet assembly factory stamping’s from 1957. I know the amateur collectors will say the air cleaner and valve covers have been painted but believe me it’s original paint from new 1957.

The original build sheet was found above the glove compartment. If you look at the original build sheet you’ll see the original key number 7283 which is still stamped in the original brass key that was given with the car when it was sold new in 1957 to the original owner Emmett Pate as you will see in the photos.

Check out the original bug screen in front of the radiator still on the car from new with the Chevrolet part number that is not a reproduction noting the original hanging twine and tag. Also note in the trunk the 65 year old jacking instructions preserved under laminate to protect it’s beautiful all original condition.

This car has never been restored and has all it’s original factory 65 year old paint, interior, sheet metal, bright work and more as you will see in the videos with no body paint blending or body work ever and all in pristine original condition. Also all the bright work chrome and stainless is day one showroom condition from 1957 with no reproduction anything just minty original 65 years old.

One of the nicest original unmolested 57 Chevy‘s 2 door sport coupes on the planet. With an incredible history.

You will see the original unmolested untouched red oxide primer from Chevrolet on the undercarriage from new when the car came down the assembly line in 1957. This car truly is one of the finest all original classic driving cars you will ever drive.

Runs and drives like a brand new car. The motor and drivetrain have never been out of this car since day one. 100% all original numbers matching motor, intake, carburetor, heads, starter, generator, radiator, exhaust manifolds, water pump, distributor, new front and rear NOS spiral shocks right out of the 1957 GM boxes 65 years old new with all four shown in the under carriage video that give this survivor a great original stance with rare overdrive transmission with original paint. All glass is day one original. The original carburetor was just professionally rebuilt like new, also complete tune up points, plugs, wiring, cap and rotor to keep this car running as new.

Please view the many videos I have taken along with close to 100 still photographs. I also have so much original Chevrolet manuals, posters, many original advertisement brochures and too much more to list here that will go with the car that Doc Burnett 2nd owner acquired while working for Chevrolet for many years. See photo of his business card.

This car has only had three registered owners in 65 years. The new owner of this car will be the fourth registered original owner. I have the title in my name. I have never registered the car and have kept it in my heated dehumidified climate controlled building covered just like the past owners and have also barely driven the car less than 5 miles in my ownership truly incredible history.

Please also see the original spare tire which has never been down that still has the factory bluing in the center of the treads with factory nubs. Please zoom in close and you will see the spare has never been down. Also see the original black factory trunk paint and red oxide primer untouched in the trunk that Chevrolet applied in 1957 also the spare tire jack that has never been used in the trunk.

Everything on this car is working like the day it was sold new, the speedometer, the odometer, all the original gauges, the emergency brake, headlights, directionals, windshield wipers, dash lights, interior lights, heater and defroster and the horn.
