Thanks for looking at my listing for my 1956 Volkswagen Powered Dune Buggy. I have owned the Buggy since 1995. It has provided 30 years of enjoyment and memories. The buggy has always been garaged and pampered. Always serviced at the best VW shops I could find. As you can see in the pictures it’s a beauty.

Please view the startup video and also scroll down the description section to see lots more pictures. I posted 63 pictures with the listing.

I am only selling the buggy as I no longer have the garage space for it.

I purchased the buggy back in 1995 in Southern California. Based on the seller’s info the buggy was always a California car. I lived in Torrance, California at the time and it was registered there till 2016. I moved to Henderson, Nevada and a new title was issued in Nevada in 2016. The buggy has a Nevada title in my name and current registration.

If you need the Buggy shipped, I have no problem assisting the buyer. If you want to get any shipping quotes please use Henderson, NV 89052 as the pick-up location. I am located a few miles away from Las Vegas. Buyer pays for shipping.

I accept cash in person or money wires. No checks. I will not ship the buggy unless full payment is made.

This is a fiberglass dune buggy on a 1956 VW Bug frame. My understanding the frame was shortened to fit the body and also was lifted to fit the oversize tires.

In August of 1996 I took the buggy to another level. I had a company by the name of Buggyworld in Norco Califonrnia do a bunch of work on it. I spent $10,000 with them and have the receipt to prove it. The interior was done. The top. Seat belts added. Chromed the engine. New chrome shocks. They performed mechanical upgrades that later I upgraded even more. The dash and speedo were done by them. It really came out nice.

The buggy still has the same paint since the day I purchased it. As you can see in the pictures it looks great. The paint has great shine to it. There are a few nicks here and there, but I never felt that there was a reason to paint this buggy. I receive thumbs up and compliments wherever I take it. The yellow and black combination is stunning.

The oversize tires make this buggy special. Front tires are Mickey Thompson Baja Belted H.P> size 27X9.50x15LT 86.5.
Rear tires are Mickey Thompson Baja Belted H.P> size 31×15.50-15LT 97.5. They sit on beautiful chrome wheels. The tires are older but have lots of tread left on them.

I have posted lots of pictures with the listing so you can see how special this buggy is. Please scroll down and you will see even more pictures.

The buggy has many mechanical upgrades since I moved to Henderson, Nevada. All work has been done by the The Beetle Barn in Las Vegas, Nevada. They rebuilt the 1776cc VW motor. They installed the dual carburetors that you see in the pictures. The transmission is rebuilt. Replaced axle boots. Replaced rear transmission mounts. Added a EMPI HD oil pump, Flat Cam. Replaced bowden tube and installed a new clutch. New clutch cable. New Speedo cable. Stainless pushrod tubes. Pressure Booster Kit etc…. The receipts of all the work will be included with the buggy. The buggy has lot’s of power and is a blast to drive.

All lights work on the buggy.

The interior is black and yellow as you can see in the pictures and definitely makes it a real looker. I even had custom floor mats made for it. If you look at the carpeting it is all custom made. You have seat belts front and back. The only stitching that has come loose is in the drivers seat and I attached a picture of it. The interior work was first class and exactly what I asked for.

The top was done in the same interior color combination and is in excellent condition. You can remove it easily if you wish. The top is attached with buttons.

The buggy has a roll bar.

Driver and passenger mirrors.

Rear view mirror.

I had a smaller steering wheel installed so it makes it easier to get in and out of.

The engine runs very strong.

Transmission shifts with no problems.

The drum brakes work great and I had a newer master cylinder installed.

The battery is a year old.

I have set a buy it now price that I believe is more than fair for the buggy. It’s a lot less then what I have in it but that is how it goes. I have also added the best offer option.

The buggy is sold as is with no warranties.

If you have any question’s please feel free to ask.
