This Corvette has been stored in a barn for 42 years. A true barn find.

After putting in some gas, the engine started immediately, and it runs really strong. It is very dry underneath; we could not find any leaks anywhere. Because the engine ran so well, we wanted to road test it to see how the rest of the car functioned. We replaced the wheel cylinder, brake shoes, master cylinder, and one brake line. The car seems to handle really well, the transmission shifts properly, and the tachometer works.

The previous owner stated that it was a California car and was never driven in a Midwestern winter. The frame is in excellent condition. It appears to be rust free except for surface rust (please see pictures). And we can’t find any damage to the body. In addition to the normal molding, there is an additional strip underneath that appears to be professionally crafted and installed. This car would make an excellent restoration project.
