Clean Green Michigan Title

This is a vintage municipal fire truck from Lake Orion, Michigan. It is a project and does not run or drive.

Interior

The floor has some rust holes and the seat needs to be recovered. The door jambs are not sagging. The original Bendix CB Radio appears complete with wiring.

Exterior

The original paint is a faded patina and with a little clean up would look great. Some lower rust on the rockers and exterior door step. The frame and suspension are in nice shape with surface rust and even some original paint (no breaks or cracks). Front grill mounted fire pump is made by the American Fire Pump Company. It is missing some of the port caps/covers where the water hoses attach. The wooden steps along the side and rear of the truck are rotten. The rear water tank has rust holes and the water line pipes have been removed from the tank to the pump. It is missing the bubble light that was on the roof at one time.

Engine

The accessory components on the engine seem stuck from sitting for years. In order to turn the engine over the front pump would have to be disconnected. The Champion C-38 siren is mounted on the inside fender.

Additional

Includes original owners manual (missing the cover), Barton-American water pump manual (hard to find), tag from the factory, and a photocopy of a 1962 photo of the truck fighting a fire.
