bought this really cool and solid survivor barn find 53 chevy 3600 3 quarter ton truck to use for advertising my business. It was from a local farmer and town in Monona Iowa about 20 min away from me in waukon. It was in Monona since new. I bought it, brought it home to Waukon iowa, and got it running and driving and have been using it around my local town for advertising my business and driving it around our farm and to our local trout streams during summer. It was missing the bed as the previous owner took it off 20 years ago and put on a short flat bed. The original flatbed wood was rotted away so I replaced the wood and used it to put stuff on the back and I had High school kids sit on it to use in short parades/pictures.. This Chevy truck has a amazing patina and cool survivor look. The truck runs well. I am running it off a aux tank as the original tank is dirty and should be cleaned out or replaced.
