1949 Chrysler New Yorker – Barn Find Survivor
Up for sale is a 1949 Chrysler New Yorker 4-Door Sedan, recently pulled from long-term storage. This car has been off the road since 1991 and is offered here as a true barn-find project.
Highlights:
• Flathead Inline-8 Cylinder Engine – turns freely and will run on fuel/spark, but not road-ready.
• Fluid-Drive semi-automatic transmission, intact.
• Odometer shows approximately 65,000 miles.
• Original body and steel – no major rust-through observed.
• Straight panels with factory trim and brightwork largely present (a few pieces missing).
• Interior is original and in surprisingly good survivor condition for its age.
• Clean paperwork and ready for transfer.
Condition:
This New Yorker is being sold as a project vehicle. It has been sitting for over 30 years and will require a full mechanical inspection and servicing before driving. Brakes, fuel system, and electrical will need attention. Cosmetically, the paint and chrome present well for a barn find, though some trim pieces are missing.
