I bought this car in 2017 from my friend Steve in New Hampshire. He had purchased it 30 years earlier from the original owner. During that 30 years he drove it to local car shows and events, and put maybe 2000 miles on it, but most of the time it lived in his barn, which is where I discovered it, so it really is a “Barn Find”. While Steve owned it he replaced the fabric top panel in the roof, which had deteriorated over time. He also had the roof and pillars repainted the original factory color, and recovered the seat. Other than that, the car is all original. It has the factory Arcadian Green with black fenders paint job which is in surprisingly good condition, although it does have some minor dings and shows 89 years’ worth of wear and patina – areas of worn and cracked paint, visible primer, various scratches, and corrosion are evident around the body along with pitted bumpers and brightwork. I bet it would look great with a good washing and polishing. The body is straight and there is no cancerous rust.

I have the spare tire mounting parts, but they are not attached to the car at this point.

The Body Data Plate reads as follows:

Style No. 34-567

Body No. J 2832

Trim No. 38

Paint No. 164

Except for the seat being recovered, the interior is original. It does show some wear and patina, but it is in great condition for its age. The floor mats were gone when I got the car. The main floorboard wood appears to be original, but I have no reference point for that, so I can’t guarantee it. The Car Serial Number plate is still there, and reads “21DA06 30293”. All of the gauges work, as do the headlights and tail light.

The car still has the original 6 volt electrical system.

The car has 22,909 original miles on it. Approximately 1000 of those are from me, after I had it trucked from New Hampshire to my home in Southern California. It has a clear California title, and is currently Non-Opped. It has the standard modern (not Year of Manufacture) California plate on the back, and a 1934 New Hampshire plate on the front. I do not know if that is the original plate or not, but it was on the car when I got it, and I kept it there for the vintage look. The tires are Firestone and were replaced by my friend during his ownership. I don’t know exactly how old they are.

The straight 6 engine is original and runs well, with no leaks or smoking. It fires right up, and there is no clatter from it when it is running. I would guess that the engine compartment has not been cleaned since it was purchased by my friend from the original owner, but at least not in the last 20 years or so, so there is the usual film of greasy goodness that one would expect to find on a vehicle of this age. The car drives well, the transmission works as designed, and the brakes stop the car as they should.

The Engine Serial Number is: 4409757
