You are bidding on a 1932 Ford mail truck, which belonged to my father and was stored in his garage. He used to drive it to car shows, but it hasn’t been started in about 35 years. Now that my parents have both passed away, it is time to find a new. loving home for this truck that brought them so much joy.
The truck has been stored on blocks, but they were just removed this week, so it can be rolled onto a trailer for shipping. The wood and metal are all original, but the original seat cushion will need to be replaced. There is a broken left tail light and some of the wood and metal are showing their age, especially around the running boards. The tires are flat, but the truck comes with the 4 tires and spare that are on the truck, along with 7 additional tires- 4 of which have never been unwrapped. In addition, there are 5 spare rims and two boxes of brand new tubes for the tires (I didn’t open the boxes fully, but it looks like there are 4 in each box, for a total of 8). It would make a nice project car for someone who wants to restore this to its glory, or who just loves these rare vehicles.
There are also a variety of additional parts. I don’t know what they all are, but some look like cranks for the engine, covers for an engine block (maybe??), the removable floor board which was lifted to allow the gearshift linkage to be seen, and the bottom of the windshield (the glass is broken in the corner)- you can see these in the pictures. In addition, a vintage gas can (with stickers on it that could easily be removed) , another seat, two antique tire pumps, and three mail bags are included.
The exact milage is unknown; the number in the listing above is just a placeholder. This vehicle is sold AS IS. There are no guarantees implied or inferred. I would be happy to answer any questions you have before you decide to purchase, so please contact me and I will do my best to give you as much detail as I can. I left room for 8 additional pictures, so if there is something specific that you want to see, please let me know. Thank you for your interest!
*ADDED INFORMATION* Although the title says 1932, an eBay member informed me that it is actually a 1931 Model A body Ford. Please note that when considering your purchase. Thank you again for looking.
