Update!! We received the original key and more importantly the original pink slip!! All the provenance is in hand. DMV has been contacted and the Vin is not in the system so the registration process will be easy.
For sale is a California made 1931 Chevrolet Independence (Series AE) Sport Coupe w/ rumble seat Barn Find. Located in the upper flatlands, sitting in the shadows of the Trinity Alps in the heart of gold County where is has sat unmolested since being parked there in 1967. We obtained this car from its second owner and we will provide you with a bill of sale from him. The engine/vin is not on file as it has been so many years since it was last registered. When we turn the fan it’s clear the motor is not seized. I have added pictures of the rear floor in front of the rumble seat so you can see how nice the floor still is so you get an indication of the wood quality. The floor would be the first thing to go. Also you will see that it even still has the original rubber bow tie mat that was original equipment.

Your car’s body number (0 5909) confirms that the Oakland plant built at least 5,909 Sport Coupe body shells during the 1931 production run.
Delivery possible in Norther California, Southern Oregon and Northwest Nevada. If this car is not spoken for already it will be at the Hot August Nights swap meet parking lot and not the car coral. That is where we will be set up selling other parts so we will have this with us to answer questions. We have a nice set of 1931 California plates the previous owner obtained but never registered them to the car. They are DMV clear and can potential be part of this transaction.
Comes with two extra rims as seen in the pictures. The deposit is not refundable and will be forfeited after 14 days if the car is not picked up or other arrangements for it to stay with me longer are made.
