RELIST NOTE: The car is being relisted after the last high bidder was located half way across the country with no way of facilitating a cash transaction or transporting the car. As stated below, the car must be paid in cash upon pickup, which means no 3rd party transporters. Since the car does not run and is on 4 flat tires, it is not a good candidate for a multi-car transporter. As the ad states the car is located in Fond du Lac Wisconsin, please keep that in mind when bidding. This is the definition of a barn find, preservation car. Recently this car was removed from a barn where it had been stored since 1959, for 63 years. The owner recently passed away and this car is being sold by the family. The car has been cleaned out, interior removed and washed in order to highlight the condition. Otherwise, it is exactly as it was from the barn. This is a great candidate for a restoration, or preservation. Clean title ready for transfer. The condition of the car is surprisingly good for how long it was in storage. The pictures should tell the story of the car, and ~100 can be found at the link here as well, copy and paste it into your browser. https://www.flickr.com/photos/183394819@N06/albums/72177720301650436 The car is complete, I am not aware of any major item missing from the car. Unless there is supposed to be a floor in the turtle deck. The interior has succumbed to animals and the elements and at one point looks to had a custom one fitted, but the springs are there. The engine and accessories are complete, unsure if the engine turns over. All four wheels turn; however, tires/tubes do not hold air. The windows still move up and down. The car has a mixture of surface rust and old paint. Other than the coat of surface rust, the car is very structurally sound. As seen in the pictures, the bottom of the cowl, rear body, turtle deck, common areas do not have any rust through. All the lips and flanges are in good shape. The wooden roof and other items area solid as well with no rot. The frame and fenders are also in good shape. The right-hand side door does not want to latch closed and looks like the metal has let loose from the wooden frame, which is the issue. See more pictures of this in the Flickr link. This is a great starting point for any restoration, preservation, hot rod project. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have. Please feel free to message me. Cash payment upon pickup of car.
