Offered for sale is this incredible survivor – a 1972 Pontiac Grand Prix Model J* Coupe in beautiful Quezal Gold with Inca Gold vinyl interior. This remarkable “barn find” was parked in a garage about 20 years ago, and was recently brought back to life by the nephew of the original owner. After much debate, we believe this car to have been repainted – probably three decades ago – to a very high quality.  Unfortunately, time has taken its toll on the finish, and though presentable, it would need a repaint to achieve the finish it deserves.  The most incredible feature of this car is the interior, which is all original and never restored – to look inside, it could be a 3-4 year old car, and feels like a time machine.  The seats, dash, gauges, controls, carpet, headliner, and so forth are in amazing original condition, with everything functioning much the way it came from the factory. The original Delco AM radio is till in place, and everything works perfectly except for the clock. There is no obvious corrosion on any of the sheet metal, and the underneath is nice and solid all around.  The factory vinyl top is in very good shape overall, with just a bit of degradation at the right rear corner. The chrome and bright work is very good front to back, and the original 14″ wheel covers are still in place.
